The Check-in: Dignity, Freedom, and Security in Equal Measure
The Biden administration is now using the language of “security, freedom, and prosperity in equal measures" for Palestinians and Israelis in its approach to Israel/Palestine. While the language may be new for the U.S. government, it’s eerily familiar to us. We discuss the new language, what it might mean, and its similarities to language we’ve been using for years.
We also discuss an important Washington Post op-ed by Michael Gerson on why he believes in systemic racism as a conservative, and how peacemaking is an invitation into “joyous implication.”
